3rd OPATHY summer school at Biotechvana, Valencia

The third OPATHY annual meeting and summer school took place from 26th of August to 1st of September 2018 at the University of Valencia Science Park, in Paterna, Spain and was organised by the OPATHY project partner Biotechvana. With a focus on applied bioinformatics and post-genomics techniques for clinical omics, ESRs received intense theoretical and practical training in varous aspects of bioinformatic analyses, e.g. in using the GPRO software suite that was developed at Biotechvana. Lectures of the summer school furthermore comprised ethical aspects of the use of human and animal samples in clinical research as well as good practice in scientific publishing.

The 3rd summer school took place at Biotechvana, Valencia, Spain from 26th of August to 1st of September 2018. The summer school will covered the following topics: Applied bioinformatics, ethical, legal and social aspects of clinical research.

Opathy 2nd Summer School, HKI Jena

OPATHY provides ESRs with state-of-the-art network-wide training activities. The 2nd Summer school will take place at Hans-Knoell-Institute (HKI) in Jena, Germany, from 27th of August to 1st of September 2017. The summer school will cover the following topics; Functional genomics and cellular analysis of infection models, Clinical Mycology, and Valorisation and entrepreneurial skills.

Opathy 1st Summer School, University of Aberdeen

The first OPATHY summer school took place from 28th of August till 2nd of September 2016 and had a focus on clinically important yeasts. Beside an introductory course with lectures it also included practical courses about in vivo and in vitro infection models. Furthmore the ESRs got a training about gender aspects in resaearch and projewct management.
