The 3rd summer school took place at Biotechvana, Valencia, Spain from 26th of August to 1st of September 2018. The summer school will covered the following topics: Applied bioinformatics, ethical, legal and social aspects of clinical research.

The 2nd winter school took place at University College Dublin, Ireland, from 13th to 16th of March 2018. The winter school covered the following topics: Article writing, Grant writing, and Critical Thinking.

OPATHY provides ESRs with state-of-the-art network-wide training activities. The 2nd Summer school will take place at Hans-Knoell-Institute (HKI) in Jena, Germany, from 27th of August to 1st of September 2017. The summer school will cover the following topics; Functional genomics and cellular analysis of infection models, Clinical Mycology, and Valorisation and entrepreneurial skills.

The BCN Science Slam was the final event of a science communication workshop for PhD students from five different European Training Networks. During the workshop six finalists were selected to present at the BCN Science Slam, two further finalists were selected from external applicants.

The first OPATHY Winter School with a focus on the Improvement of science communication skills took place from 1st till 4th of March 2017 at CRG in Barcelona, Spain. Beside the 13 OPATHY ESRs also 14 ESRs from five other ETNs being coordinated in Barcelona participated in the course.

The first OPATHY summer school took place from 28th of August till 2nd of September 2016 and had a focus on clinically important yeasts. Beside an introductory course with lectures it also included practical courses about in vivo and in vitro infection models. Furthmore the ESRs got a training about gender aspects in resaearch and projewct management.

The OPATHY kick-off meeting took place on 2nd and 3rd of September 2015 at Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) in Barcelona and was the first opportunity that all involved PIs of the OPATHY beneficiary institutions met personally.
